Compliance is defined as the set of adequate and sufficient policies and procedures to ensure that all components of the social perimeter of an organization comply with its legal, statutory and regulatory obligations in all areas; comply with its standards of conduct; and avoid the commission of crimes (following the incorporation of criminal liability for legal entities into the legal systems of many countries).
Concepts such as Corporate Social Responsibility, Responsible Social Investment and Sustainability, as they contain elements that are already mandatory requirements for legal entities, are incorporated into the compliance concept, which should be understood as the basic strategic and operational support of any legal entity.

Compliance in Spain
In Spain, Lantania companies have implemented and keep updated an Integral System of Prevention and Management of Legal and Criminal Risks (Integral Compliance Model), a Compliance Management System adapted to the ISO 37301 Standard, which contains each and every one of the necessary elements to, among other things, exempt companies operating in Spain from criminal liability, according to the specific Spanish legal system.
