Lantania, awarded by the National Construction Confederation for its international projection

The company was a finalist in the job creation category at the second edition of the Construction Night   

Madrid, 20 May 2026. Lantania has been recognized by the Spanish National Construction Confederation (Confederación Nacional de la Construcción, CNC) for its international presence. The infrastructure, water, and energy Group received the award for Best Initiative in International Activity at the II Edition of the CNC Awards Night. The recognition highlights the company’s overseas expansion strategy and underscores the distinctive nature of the projects it develops abroad.

The company has strengthened its internationalization strategy with an increasingly diversified footprint. It is present in 16 countries across four continents and has reinforced its global positioning through major projects in markets such as Italy, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Poland, and Tunisia. International activity gained significant weight last year, accounting for 50% of the Group’s order book, compared with 31% in the previous year. The company is delivering landmark projects such as the Ras Mohaisen desalination plant in Saudi Arabia, with a capacity of 300,000 m³/day, three solar parks in Italy, and the expansion of the Ankara wastewater treatment plant, among others.

Lantania’s Director of International Business Development, Joaquín Navarro, collected the award, which was presented by CNC President Pedro Fernández Alén, alongside VidaCaixa Corporate and Business Director Robert Roig, and Director of the European Commission Representation in Spain, Daniel Calleja y Crespo.

Finalist in the employment creation category

The company also received recognition for its growth model and talent development strategy, being named a finalist in the Employment Creation Category. Since 2023, Lantania has increased its workforce by 25%, growing from just over 1,120 employees to 1,400 today. In a context marked by labor shortages in the sector, Lantania has consolidated a human capital strategy based on talent attraction, as well as professional development and retention.

Lantania promotes training and development programs for recent graduates and students in collaboration with universities and other institutions. Among these initiatives is its Graduate Program, which combines technical training, mentoring, and hands-on experience in real projects to prepare new professionals in the field of sustainable infrastructure.

The Construction Night, organized by CNC, is the gala that recognizes the most outstanding initiatives in Spain’s construction industry. In its second edition, held on 19 May at CaixaForum Madrid, the event brought together companies, institutions and professionals to honor organizations that, through their activity, contribute to improving society’s quality of life and well-being. The gala, closed by the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, Elma Saiz, focused on some of the major challenges facing the construction sector, from housing access and infrastructure to sustainability, digitalization and job creation.
