The Group continues to advance its commitment to sustainability by quantifying, reporting and verifying its GHG emissions in compliance with ISO 14064
Madrid, 29 September 2025. Lantania has received certification for its Carbon Footprint, awarded by AENOR. The infrastructure, water and energy group has taken a significant step forward in its commitment to sustainability and the fight against climate change by quantifying, reporting and verifying its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in compliance with the ISO 14064 standard.
This accreditation not only enhances Lantania’s environmental transparency and rigour but also bolsters its decarbonisation strategy and alignment with ESG reporting frameworks like the European Union’s CSRD directive.
The calculation of Lantania’s carbon footprint for 2024 includes both direct and indirect emissions related to electricity consumption and those generated by suppliers, waste management and business travel. Defined by the ISO 14064 categories, this holistic approach provides a full overview of the group’s environmental impact and makes it possible to identify its main emission sources and create plans for better mitigation measures.
As part of this process, Lantania has created a four-year Reduction and Compensation Plan (2024–2028), building on its 2024 emissions as a starting point to steadily work toward decarbonising all its operations.
This latest achievement complements the certifications that already highlight the group’s commitment to responsible management, such as ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety), ISO 50001 (Energy Management) and ISO 20400 (Sustainable Procurement).
