  • It will be present at the annual meeting of the road sector held under the slogan of ‘Functional adaptation for sustainable mobility’

Madrid, 17 March 2023. Lantania will be present at the 32nd Road Week which will be held from the 21st to the 23rd of March in Madrid, organised by the Spanish Road Association (AEC) and promoted by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of the Community of Madrid. The Infrastructure, Water and Energy Group is a sponsor of the annual meeting of the road sector held under the slogan of ‘Functional adaptation for sustainable mobility’.

The Conference will be held at the Paul VI Foundation Space. Lantania will have a stand during the conference where it will present its activities and will also serve as a networking space for the professionals present.

The meeting will bring together 500 experts over three days to define new road functionalities. The technical programme of the 32nd Road Week will address issues such as ‘multifunctional roads’, those in which mobility is ensured for all types of users; application of taxonomy for a proper classification of networks; humanisation of roads, or establishment of Low Emission Zones in cities.

Recurring topics such as decarbonisation, the adaptation of infrastructures to climate change, measures to ensure safety in areas where traffic of very different weights and speeds will come together, and the resources of the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism will also be addressed. In addition, the Community of Madrid will present its Road Plan and its Road Safety and Maintenance Strategies during the conference.

This Road Week will feature, for the first time, the Clothoid Awards granted by the Foundation of the Spanish Road Association (FAEC). These awards were created to recognise the contributions of those people, institutions and causes that perform a significant, supportive and admirable job in the field of road mobility. It will be the delegates attending the conference who, with their vote, will decide which cause to recognise among those eligible for the award.
