Lantania will build the new school of Villímar in Burgos

 

  •  The Ministry of Education of the Castilla y León Government awards the company a 6.7-million-euro contract to build the school

Madrid, 13th August 2020. Lantania will carry out the construction of the new Preschool and Primary School (CEIP) in the Villímar district of Burgos. The Department of Education of the Castilla y León Regional Government has awarded the infrastructure, water and energy group a 6.7-million-euro contract to build the school. The new educational complex will have an available area of 1,800 square metres and capacity for 450 students, of which 150 will make up the Preschool and 300 the Primary School portion, whose spaces will be differentiated.

Work is scheduled to begin in early September and is expected to take 18 months. The school will, in principle, open for the academic year 2022-2023. The new educational centre will be built on a plot of more than 10,000 square metres granted by the City Council and located behind las Hermanitas de los Pobres residence.

The building will have two floors in which the  computer, music, language and multipurpose classrooms will be distributed. It will also have administration and common services areas, where the gymnasium, library, dining room and kitchen will be located. The new centre will also include the construction of outdoor spaces with a playground, sports court, car park and garden area.
