  • The Minister of Development, Housing and Territorial Planning of the Junta de Andalucía visits the project

Granada, March, 4th 2019. Lantania has started the works for the completion of the construction of the Huétor Tájar Bridge, in Granada (Spain), which will connect the town with the A-92 highway over the Genil River. The Minister of Development, Housing and Territorial Planning of the Junta de Andalucía, Marifrán Carazo, accompanied by the Water and Infrastructure Chief Operations Officer of Lantania, José Alberto Carrasco, had the opportunity to visit the site this morning and learn about the current status of the project, which is executed at 55%. The general director of Infrastructures of the Junta de Andalucía, Enrique Manuel Catalina, and the managing director of the AOPJA, Julio Jesús Caballero, have also joined the visit.

The infrastructure, water and energy group plans to complete the infrastructure, a new road that will serve as second access from the A-92 highway to Huétor Tájar and other towns in the area, within six and a half months.

The projected road, with a length of 900 meters, starts in a new roundabout on the Venta Nueva road and ends at the roundabout of the Nueva Redonda road of the new industrial park of Huétor Tájar. The layout saves the Genil River through a unique 260 meters long structure. The average daily traffic intensity expected, once this new connection is put into service, is 1,921 vehicles per day, 5% of which will correspond to heavy traffic, according to data from the Junta de Andalucía.
