Lantania is assigned new contracts in Madrid worth 35.4 million euros

  •  Will maintain pavements and roads in the districts of Usera, Latina, Carabanchel and Villaverde over the next five years for 25.8 million euros
  •  Additionally, it will carry out projects in Fuenlabrada worth 9.6 million over the next four years

Madrid, January 19th, 2022. Lantania has been assigned new projects in Madrid worth 35.4 million euros. The infrastructure, water and energy company will carry out the maintenance of the pavements of public roads in the Madrid districts of Latina, Carabanchel, Usera and Villaverde over the next five years for 25.8 million euros, a contract to which projects will also be carried out in Fuenlabrada for 9.6 million euros.

The capital’s City Council has awarded Lantania the contract for the maintenance of the pavements of the public roads of these four districts in the south of the city. Lantania, which plans to start work this month, will be responsible for the conservation and maintenance of the roads to make them functional, accessible and safe. The area to be conserved is 10.6 million square metres, of which 3.8 million are pavements and 6.8 million are roadways.

This contract supplements the contract that Lantania was assigned a year ago, which deals with urban road redevelopment and refurbishment for the Madrid City Council. The company carries out accessibility, mobility and pavement works in the districts of Chamberí, Chamartín, Retiro, Tetuán, Carabanchel, Arganzuela, Latina and Centro.

The company has also been assigned the contract for the maintenance, repair and conservation of four headquarters, five training centres and 49 employment offices in the Community of Madrid. The works include the maintenance of all the spaces, including civil elements and installations, and will be carried out for a period of two years for a total of almost one million euros, with an extension of the same duration and amount.

Projects in Fuenlabrada

In addition, in the Community of Madrid; Lantania has been assigned contracts worth 9.6 million euros over the next four years in Fuenlabrada. The company has been assigned the project for the renovation, repair and conservation of all the municipal buildings in the southern city of Madrid. These tasks are budgeted at 6.3 million euros for a total period of four years and the work consists of generating small projects to undertake reforms or restorations of municipal buildings that have any problem such as the restructuring of air conditioning, rearrangement of spaces or uses, adaptation to the regulations, etc.

This contract also includes the subsidiary execution for the Fuenlabrada City Council for the intervention of the City Council in private estates and properties for an amount of 3.3 million euros over four years. The company will also undertake the refurbishment of the Las Villas Municipal Residence for the Elderly.
