DSV, a Lantania Group company, secures contracts worth 13 million euros

  • The company has been awarded the works for the technical branch of the Northern Section of Line 3 of the Seville Metro, as well as several projects for Adif

Madrid, 7 December 2022. DSV Constructora y Ferroviaria, a Lantania Group company specialised in track maintenance and track assembly, has landed contracts worth 13 million euros. Among the new projects awarded to the company are the works on the technical branch of the Northern Section of Line 3 of the Seville Metro, as well as several projects for the Railway Infrastructure Administrator (Adif).

The Department of Development, Organisation of the Territory and Housing of the Regional Government of Andalusia has proposed the joint venture formed by Lantania and DSV to carry out the construction works of the technical branch of the northern section of Line 3 of the Seville Metro for 6.4 million euros. The actions will consist of the first construction of the northern section of Line 3 between Pino Montano and Prado de San Sebastián, connecting the planned workshops and depots with the rest of the route. This branch will cross the future riverbed of the Tamarguillo stream and the Ranilla stream and has a surface crossing with the A-8005 regional road planned by means of a roundabout.

Among the works to be carried out by the Andalusian company for Adif is the extension of track 2 at Vic station (Barcelona) for 2.7 million euros. The company is to build the extension of track 2 at the southern end of the Vic stop on the line from Latour de Carol-Enveigt to Montcada bifurcació. This project is scheduled to last 20 months. The company will also carry out the project to stabilise the earthworks on the Castejón de Ebro- Bilbao line, in the province of La Rioja, for 1.9 million euros, as well as the improvement of accessibility at the Navalperal de Pinares station (Ávila) for 1.8 million euros.

In addition to these contracts, the project for the renovation of the rest module for mechanical equipment operators in the tunnels of the maritime station of Algeciras (Cadiz) was also awarded. These works are currently in progress.

DSV, which has been part of the Lantania Group since April of this year, is a benchmark in track maintenance and new track assembly. Created in 1994 and with its headquarters in Utrera (Seville), DSV’s main activity is the construction, maintenance and renewal of railway tracks in the conventional, high-speed, metropolitan and tramway rail network. The company is also active in the civil engineering and building sectors.

The company has participated in the implementation of the railway branch line between Linares and Vadollano, in Jaén, and in the rehabilitation of the Miranda do Corvo-Serpins railway infrastructure in Portugal. It has also worked on the construction of the A32 Linares-Albacete highway and the N322 highway from Cordoba to Valencia. The company has also participated in the construction of the Zamora-A Coruña conventional line variant around km 112 for its crossing at a different level with the Madrid-Galicia high-speed line and has carried out vegetation control works on the margins and facilities of the metric gauge network.
