Lantania participates in the 5th edition of the UN Global Compact Spain’s Climate Ambition Accelerator

  • It is one of 83 companies joining this initiative to help speed up the business transition to a low-carbon model

Madrid, 2 June 2025. Lantania drives forward its climate change strategy. The Infrastructure, Water and Energy Group is participating in the fifth edition of the Climate Ambition Accelerator (CAA), the flagship environmental sustainability programme of the UN Global Compact Spain. This initiative aims to speed up the business transition to a low-emissions model aligned with the objectives of the Paris Agreement.

Over the next five months, Lantania will follow a structured roadmap towards science-based target setting, through specialised technical training, personalised coaching and collaborative learning spaces.

To guarantee the technical rigour of the process, the programme has the support of global partners such as Science Based Targets and the World Resources Institute, as well as the collaboration of national entities such as the Community for Climate and the Spanish Office for Climate Change, part of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge. These partnerships give participating companies access to proven scientific methodologies and cutting-edge resources to effectively address the challenges of climate change.

This edition of the Climate Ambition Accelerator has once again broken participation records, with 83 companies taking part, demonstrating the growing commitment of the business sector to climate sustainability and the urgency of accelerating the transition to low-carbon business models.

A new feature this year is the addition of a national closing session, designed to promote knowledge sharing and strengthen a business community committed to sustainability principles. In addition, each company will be required to submit a Climate Ambition Action Plan, a key document that will identify its emissions, set priorities and design a roadmap with concrete actions.
