In response to the food emergency caused by the Covid-19
Madrid, 23rd June 2020. Lantania joins the initiative #ferrosolidarios to respond to the food emergency caused by the crisis of Covid-19. The infrastructure, water and energy group is doing its bit to publicise this campaign created by a group of railway workers and which consists of creating a solidarity fund with the economic contributions made by railway workers, family members, friends… and anyone else who wants to join in.
The contributions are intended to provide food to neighbourhood associations and other organisations that assist the most vulnerable groups. The fund has managed to raise 30,000 euros in support of 6,000 families and the current goal is to reach 45,000 euros. This amount will allow the aid to be extended to 45,000 kg of food and support 9,000 families.
From here we want to encourage all our contacts and collaborators to join us in the initiative #ferrosolidarios.
Financial contributions can be made, starting from five euros up to the desired amount, by transfer to a current account that has been created for the project: ES16 – 0049 – 2711 – 14 – 2614278082. The concept of the transfer should indicate ‘COVID19 food aid’. The holder of this account is ATF Turisferr, an organisation created more than 55 years ago to promote social tourism in the railway community.
