Lantania signs two contracts for the construction of 200 homes worth 30 million euros

• Through its involvement in Gestilar Construcciones, it will build 130 rental homes in Valdebebas and 70 in Cordoba

Madrid, 14 May 2024. Lantania, through its involvement in the company Gestilar Construcciones, has signed two new contracts for the construction of a total of 200 homes, for a value close to 30 million euros. The Infrastructure, Water and Energy Group will build 130 rental homes in the Valdebebas neighbourhood of Madrid, in addition to 70 homes in the ‘Terrazas de la Medina’ development in Cordoba.

In Madrid, the company is building a development with a budget of 19.5 million euros for the Gestilar real estate group. The project is located on plot 177B in Valdebebas, just on the edge of the Parque Forestal Felipe VI. The built residential area will extend over 13,000m², distributed between 130 one to three-bedroom homes with a terrace, garage, storage room and spacious common areas, including a swimming pool, co-working area, paddle court and green areas. The project also includes the construction of a commercial space of more than 2,000m².

This development will be BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology) certified, which is considered the world’s leading method for assessing and certifying sustainability in building construction. Construction in Valdebebas began in early April, and it is expected that the homes will be finished by February 2026.

In Cordoba, the company has just started work on the ‘Terrazas de la Medina’ development for Gestilar. This project has a construction budget of 9.2 million euros and is located in la Huerta de Santa Isabel, with views of Sierra Morena. The development consists of 70 two to four-bedroom homes, which include a garage and storage room, as well as common facilities such as a pool, gym and children’s playground. The project is expected to be finished in November 2023, with a construction period of 19 months.

Gestilar Construcciones, jointly owned by Lantania and Gestilar, currently has 1,000 homes under construction, and has already completed more than 600. The construction company was launched in 2019, with the aim of optimising the construction process in order to meet project deadlines with the highest quality, design and finishes.
