With over 14 years of experience in the renewable sector, Ríos Mora will lead the company’s growth in a strategic market
Madrid, 27 January 2026. Lantania is driving its expansion in Italy with the appointment of Joaquín Ríos Mora as Country Head. In his new role, Ríos Mora will be responsible for strengthening and expanding business opportunities for the infrastructure, water and energy Group in this strategic market.
Ríos Mora holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Granada and brings more than 14 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, with a strong track record in asset management, operations and the leadership of international teams. Throughout his career, he has held senior management positions at several energy companies in Italy, including Head of Operations at Energy Management Solutions and Country Manager at Cansol. He has played an active role in growth processes and the definition of corporate strategies, working in close coordination with company headquarters. His experience also includes the management of projects and assets in wind, solar and biomass cogeneration power plants combined with gasification systems.
Ríos Mora will lead Lantania’s development in Italy, where the Group has been promoting strategic projects and has operated through a local subsidiary since last year. Lantania is currently building three photovoltaic plants near Bologna, with a total installed capacity of 80 MW, under turnkey or EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contracts. These projects involve the full execution of the infrastructure, with Lantania also responsible for operation and maintenance (O&M) during the first two years of operation.
