Lantania to participate in the ‘Global Water Summit 2022’, a world-leading forum on desalination

  • The company’s General Desalination Manager, Pedro Almagro, will participate in a work session to analyse the future of the sector’s major projects

Madrid, 12 May 2022. Lantania will be present at the ‘Global Water Summit 2022’, a world-leading forum on desalination, which will be held in Madrid from 16 to 18 May. The infrastructure, water and energy company is collaborating as a sponsor of an event that will bring the main players in the international water and desalination sector together in the Spanish capital.

After a two-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the congress is being held again in person under the slogan ‘Water Positive Zero Carbon’. The forum will focus on finding new ways to contribute to the global availability of water resources while reducing emissions to mitigate the impact of climate change.

Lantania will have a prominent presence at the event. The company’s General Desalination Manager, Pedro Almagro, will speak as an expert in a work session alongside other  CEOs and top-level representatives of the main public bodies in the Middle East and North Africa, as well as developers, consultants and other EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) contractors. Almagro, along with the other technical experts, will explore where the market for large desalination projects is headed and how the procurement process could be adapted to bring value to all parties involved, through risk mitigation and investment in innovation.

Additionally, the company will have a stand at the event, from which it will present its activity and offer a networking space for the professionals present. The Global Water Summit is organised by Global Water Intelligence magazine, one of the most prestigious publications in the water market.
