Lantania to supply batteries to the mobile telephony installations of Adif Alta Velocidad

  •  The changes will be made across 90 locations, with priority being given to those located on the Madrid-Barcelona, La Sagra-Toledo and Córdoba-Málaga lines

Madrid, 14th July 2021. Adif Alta Velocidad has awarded Lantania a contract for almost one million euros (VAT included) for supplying batteries to the mobile telephony installations on several High-Speed Lines. The project is part of the so-called Plan Renove 2020 and includes the supply, transfer, installation and commissioning of the new batteries.

The infrastructure, water and energy group will install batteries in the huts where the mobile telephone operators that provide radio-electric coverage to the High-Speed lines place their equipment. These huts are equipped with a set of accumulators to guarantee power supply to the equipment.

Lantania will replace the existing equipment (OPzV hermetic batteries with capacities of 800 and 1,000 ampere per hour) with others of similar characteristics with a capacity of 1,000 ampere hours (Ah).

The changes are planned at a total of 90 sites, with priority being given to some located on the Madrid-Barcelona, La Sagra-Toledo and Cordoba-Malaga High Speed Lines.
