Traviesas y Prefabricados de Aragón unveils its new brand: Travypsa replaces Typsa

  • The Lantania Group company specialised in the manufacturing of sleepers and precast concrete products, revamps its identity

Madrid, 30 January 2025. Traviesas y Prefabricados de Aragón adopts Travypsa as its trade name. Thus, the company owned by the Lantania Group has decided to discontinue the use of the Typsa brand and modify its corporate identity in order to strengthen its market position as one of Spain’s leading manufacturers of sleepers and precast concrete products. All of the company’s products and services will be marketed under the Travypsa brand from now on. This new name highlights the company’s history, its origin and ties to the Aragonese community, as well as its scope, the production of sleepers and precast products.

The company has been part of the Lantania Group since 2020 and has operated under the Typsa registered trademark since its inception in 1962. Recently, Lantania has reached an agreement with the engineering company Técnica y Proyectos S.A. regarding the use of the Typsa brand and from now on, Travypsa will be the reference brand for the production of sleepers and precast concrete products, exclusively for Traviesas y Prefabricados Aragón S.L. This agreement demonstrates the mutual respect between both companies and their spirit of cooperation to resolve commercial disputes in an efficient and professional manner.

Traviesas y Prefabricados de Aragón produces precast concrete products, with a special focus on the railway sector. The company started its activity in 1962, and from 1980 onwards, specialised in the production of prestressed concrete monoblock railway sleepers. Since then, it has been increasing its range of products, meeting the demands and expectations of various national railway operators.

The company has a manufacturing plant located in the town of Luceni, in the province of Zaragoza, on an 8-hectare plot of land. The facility has two large industrial warehouses and a tower-type plant for the production of concrete for its own use. The sleeper manufacturing process, highly automated, follows a carousel system, ensuring uniform quality in the product.

At present, its main projects include the supply of sleepers for the Murcia-Almería High Speed Line, the maintenance of ADIF’s conventional network (Lot 4, Northeast Zone), and the extension of sidings with a useful length of 750 m in the stations of the Zaragoza-Tarragona Section. It also participates in the comprehensive renovation of the Grisén station (Zaragoza), the replacement of sleepers in the district of Tardienta (Huesca) and in several works for the adaptation of the railway motorways in the northeastern area. In addition, it has contributed to the maintenance of the Bilbao Metro lines, the Basque Railway Network (Euskal Trenbide Sarea, ETS), as well as in several works for different private clients.
