Lantania completes the construction of the photovoltaic solar park Tordesillas I

  •  The facility has a capacity of 30 MW and consists of 89,460 solar panels

Madrid, 12th December 2019. On behalf of Solaria, Lantania carried out the engineering and construction of the photovoltaic solar park Tordesillas I, in Valladolid. The new facility, which the company will also help to maintain, has a nameplate capacity of 30 megawatts (MW) that would cover the demand of 18,000 households. The plant made its first kwh discharge to the grid last November. The project has an extension of 65 hectares and is composed of 89,460 solar panels.

With a construction portfolio of 125 MW in Spain (including the 30 MW of Tordesillas I), Energy is currently one of the fastest growing business areas for Lantania. Thus, this division already accounts for nearly 40% of the group’s new hiring.

Lantania’s teams are involved in the construction of photovoltaic solar parks, wind farms, hydroelectric power plants and their transmission and distribution infrastructures. The company has experience in the construction of more than 1 gigawatt (GW) of power in renewable generation, transmission and distribution plants up to 765 kilovolts (kV) and the construction of more than 2,000 kilometres of transmission lines.

Solaria is a developer and generator of 100% renewable photovoltaic energy, with more than 360 MW in the world and a target of 3,325 MW by the end of 2023. The company manages and operates solar plants in Spain, Italy, Uruguay, Greece and Brazil and has been listed on the Madrid Stock Exchange since June 2007.
